BROTHERHOOD Series

The series presents an impossible encounter between four siblings — the artist’s four children — born decades apart yet portrayed here as if they shared the same age.
They are Ana Júlia (33), César (24), Pedro (24) and Maria Clara (4).
René uses their images as archetypes for four independent yet complementary narratives, reflecting on the fragility and brevity of life, and on the responsibility of inhabiting the time given to us.

Each figure embodies a distinct symbolic dimension — a gesture, a presence, a light — forming a constellation that moves between the intimate and the universal.
